Maserati hosted an electrifying two-day track event at Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, marking the overseas debut of the GT2 Stradale. Bringing together over 100 guests, including media and clients from the GCC and beyond, the event showcased Maserati’s innovation, performance, and craftsmanship at one of the world’s most iconic Formula 1 circuits.
Guests stayed at the W Hotel Abu Dhabi, overlooking the track and immersing themselves in the motorsport atmosphere. The event featured exclusive experiences, including high-adrenaline hot laps in the GT2 Stradale, personalized activations in the Maserati garage, and a special display of the brand’s Formula E race car, set to compete in Season 11. Attendees also explored Maserati’s Fuoriserie personalization program and interactive configurator station, further elevating the bespoke experience.
The highlight of the event was the GT2 Stradale, a road-legal evolution of Maserati’s GT2 race car, which dominated the 2024 Fanatec GT2 European Series Championship by securing multiple victories and championship titles.
Limited to 914 units in tribute to Maserati’s founding year, this high-performance masterpiece is powered by a 640 CV Nettuno V6 engine, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 324 km/h. With CORSA DRIVE MODE, it delivers an authentic track-level experience, making it a true collector’s piece that embodies Maserati’s racing DNA.
Maserati’s Head of Overseas Region, Philippe Claverol, emphasized the significance of this moment, stating that the GT2 Stradale represents Maserati’s deep-rooted motorsport heritage and engineering excellence. He highlighted how bringing this model to the Yas Marina Circuit provided clients and media with a firsthand experience of Maserati’s unwavering commitment to high-performance craftsmanship and innovation.
Alongside the GT2 Stradale, guests explored Maserati’s latest lineup, including the Grecale, which offered an exclusive on-road drive through Abu Dhabi, highlighting its performance and versatility in real-world conditions. The event also featured the GranTurismo, Grecale Folgore, GranCabrio Trofeo, and MC20, with guests getting behind the wheel of the GranTurismo Trofeo and GranTurismo Modena. The GranTurismo Trofeo, powered by a 550 hp Nettuno V6, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 320 km/h. Meanwhile, the GranTurismo Modena, equipped with 490 hp, sprints to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, achieving a top speed of 302 km/h. Both models seamlessly blend luxury with high-performance capabilities, allowing guests to push the limits on the track.
Maserati’s key partners played a crucial role in enhancing the event’s exclusivity. Sonus Faber delivered an immersive high-fidelity audio experience in the garage, replicating the premium sound system found in Maserati vehicles. Sparco provided professional-grade helmets and safety gear, ensuring that guests experienced the highest levels of protection and comfort during their track sessions. Bridgestone contributed to the event’s success by equipping the GranTurismo and Grecale models with high-performance tires, delivering exceptional grip and handling on both the track and the road.
The event concluded with a Maserati-curated dinner at Cipriani Yas Marina, celebrating Modena’s rich culinary heritage. Guests indulged in a meticulously crafted four-course meal, featuring iconic dishes such as Tortellini in Brodo and vanilla gelato drizzled with traditional balsamic vinegar, staying true to Modena’s authentic flavors.
