The Ferrari 288 GTO is an exotic homologation of the Ferrari 308 GTB produced from 1984 through 1987.

The last number in 288 refers the the V8 engine, as for the numbers 2 and 8, they refer to the capacity of the engine which is 2.8. The letters GT denote Gran Turismo and the letter O denotes Omologato, which is Italian for Homologated.
 
 
 
فيراري 288 جي تي أو هي تجانس فريد لفيراري 308 جي تي بي صنّعت من العام 1984 حتى العام 1987. ويرمز الرقم الأخير في 288 إلى محرّك الفي 8 أما الرقم 28 فيرمز إلى سعة هذا المحرك وهي 2.8 لتر. وتعود أحرف جي تي إلى جران توريسمو أمّل حرف أو فيعود إلى أوموغلاتو أي التجانس باللغة الإيطالية
