During the upcoming Geneva Motorshow 2015,
Opel will showcase its latest editions of cars:
KARL and
Corsa OPC offering a new dimension in automobile manufacturing.
Debuting during Geneva Motorshow,
KARL will be the latest addition to
Opel’s small car range joining the ADAM and the new Corsa.
KARL is the latest
Opel to feature its new 1.0-litre three-cylinder ECOTEC engine, this 75 hp powertrain is smooth, punchy and efficient, and is mated to a slick five-speed transmission. Moreover,
KARL is fully-connected thanks to the IntelliLink infotainment system allowing seamless integration of Apple iOS and Android devices.
Furthermore,
KARL comes fitted with numerous safety and comfort features along with standard Hill Start Assist and the Lane Departure Warning integrated in the front camera, which serves as a safety feature.
On the other hand,
Opel will unveil the new
Corsa OPC with its ultra-powerful small hot-hatch. Benefiting from the significant revisions in technology, interior/exterior design and chassis showcased in the recently launched New
Corsa, the
OPC is set to raise the bar for small, fast hatchbacks.
The 1.6-liter
OPC unit offers maximum torque of 245 Nm along with an additional 35 Nm to overboost functionality. The
OPC power is transferred to the front wheels via a six-speed transmission with short and sharp shifting travels. Thus, the new
Corsa OPC races to 100 km/h from a standing start in a mere 6.8 seconds.
