Luton - Vauxhall's all-new, fully electric Combo-e compact van is now on sale, as it makes its global debut today at the Commercial Vehicle Show, the UK's largest road transport event.
As the UK's best-selling e-LCV manufacturer, Vauxhall is now able to offer fleets and business customers an electric van across its entire LCV line-up.
Powered by a 50kWh battery, the Combo-e delivers a range of 171 miles (WLTP) and features a single electric motor producing 100kW (136PS). Using a 100kW charger, the Combo-e is capable of charging from 0-80% in just 30 minutes.
Like Vauxhall's other fully electric LCV models, Combo-e is exempt from current ultra-low emission and congestion charge payments. The zero emissions-in-use powertrain also allows businesses to save significantly on company van tax, with a 0% Benefit-in-Kind tax rate.
With a maximum payload of up to 800kg and up to of 4.4m3 of load space, the Combo-e is also a highly practical compact van, ideally suited for trade professionals.
Paul Willcox, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: "With the Combo-e now sale alongside the Vivaro-e and Movano-e, Vauxhall customers now have even greater choice when it comes to finding an electric van that suits their needs. The Combo-e is a fantastic addition to our e-LCV line-up, full of practical features and technology that we're confident will make it the standout choice in the small van sector."
As standard, the Combo-e comes fitted with a 7.4kW on-board charger and charging cable, allowing it to be charged via a wallbox in seven hours and 30 minutes. An 11kW on-board charger is available as an extra cost option and brings the charging time down to five hours.
All Combo-e models also include a Drive Mode Selector with a choice of three modes, Power, Normal and ECO. Power gives maximum performance, while Normal delivers a balanced drive that offers a compromise between performance and energy efficiency. ECO is designed to extract the maximum range and highest energy efficiency. A separate Braking mode selected via the electronic drive selector allows drivers to increase the level of regenerative braking.
The Combo-e is available as both a panel and crew van. In Panel Van configuration, it is available in two lengths (L1 and L2) and two specifications - Dynamic and Sportive. L1 models comes with a nearside sliding side-access door, while L2 models feature both nearside and offside sliding side-access doors.
As standard, the Combo-e Dynamic Panel Van comes with several infotainment features, including DAB radio, Bluetooth(r), a USB connection and steering wheel mounted audio controls. It is also equipped with Vauxhall Connect, which alerts emergency and breakdown services in the event of an accident or breakdown, as well as rear parking sensors and a full-height steel bulkhead.
The Combo-e Sportive gains a number of additional features over Dynamic models, including a multimedia audio system with an 8-inch colour touchscreen. It also benefits from the FlexCargo pack, which consists of a dual front passengers' fixed bench seat, fold-flat centre seat backrest with table, two-way foldable outer seat and a load-through bulkhead. On the exterior, Sportive trim is distinguished by body-colour door mirrors and bumpers, metallic paint and full-diameter wheel trims.
Available exclusively in Dynamic trim, the Combo-e Crew Van features a three-seat, second-row bench and nearside and offside sliding side-access doors. For enhanced practicality, there is also a two-position, moveable ladder frame bulkhead and a four-way adjustable, folding front passenger's seat.
The all-new Combo-e will be manufactured at Vauxhall's historic Ellesmere Port plant from later in 2022. It joins the Vivaro-e and Movano-e in Vauxhall's e-LCV range, as the brand continues its electric vehicle expansion with the goal of offering only fully electric cars and vans in the UK by 2028.
Prices for the Combo-e start at £25,238.33 (ex Vat, inc Plug-in Van Grant) with deliveries set to begin later this year. The van is currently making its global debut at the Commercial Vehicle Show, which began today at the NEC in Birmingham and runs until 2 September.

VAUXHALL MOTORS
Vauxhall Motors started making vehicles in the UK in 1903. Today, as the oldest and most familiar of Britain's automotive manufacturers, its philosophy is to build vehicles that are relevant to all. Vauxhall's two manufacturing plants in Ellesmere Port and Luton produced 120,000 cars and vans in 2019, and its sales accounted for 7.5 per cent of the UK market.
Vauxhall is part of Stellantis NV, a global leader created for the new era of sustainable mobility as a result of the merger between Groupe PSA and FCA Group in January 2021. By 2024, each of its models will offer an electrified version, part of the company's PACE! plan to become sustainably profitable, global and electric. www.vauxhall.co.uk
